Welcome to Runway Rogue, we are so happy to have you join Team Runway!

Runway Rogue is the creative vision of 90’s supermodel Patricia Hartmann, whose favorite aspect of her illustrious modeling career was the incredible transformation that happens in the makeup chair.

As a lover of all things that make lips luscious, Patricia carefully crafted each and every shade of this limited edition collection of creamy lipstick bullets, rich glosses and extreme long wear pencils.

The formulas are loaded with hydrating oils and extracts which will pamper your lips and keep them supple and soft. The textures range from decadently matte to deliciously satin to dangerously glossy. The colors come in an array of bright and bold to sweet and sheer and everything in between.

Here at Runway Rogue we celebrate everyone’s beauty inside and out! With or without a full face of makeup, we still love throwing on an amazing lipstick or lipgloss for the day! So go ahead, be yourself, Runway Rogue is on a mission to keep pouts happy and your ever changing Attitude of Beauty going strong! We are so happy you get to help us first hand in sharing Runway Rogue with the social media world! Let’s get started!

The Runway Rogue Instagram Best Practice guide is your go-to for everything you need to know about Runway Rogue and the presence and goals we have for social media, specifically on Instagram.

Tone and Voice

Our Runway Rogue community is filled with amazing and powerful women and men. We know how important it is to support each other and that is what we are all about. Since Runway Rogue is the official makeup sponsor for LA Fashion Week, NY Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, a lot of our community consists of makeup artists, models, photographers and creative’s in the fashion world. We also have customers from all over the United States that have supported and fallen in love with our products.

We love bringing these communities together and by doing that we emphasize the importance of keeping our tone and voice on Instagram consistent. Currently our target audience is women between the ages of 25–34.

Captions are written with our target audience in mind. We make sure to tag anyone who may be in the photo in the caption and we clearly state the name of the product a long with the collection name. We always include a call to action (ex. “Shop this shade today by viewing the products tab!”, “Shop this gorgeous gloss today”)

When responding to comments, we address our Runway Rogue community with “Hi lovely” , “Thanks, love!”, “Hi doll”, “Hi Runway Rogue babes!”.

We love being playful, while keeping things personal. We also love addressing our customers by name and building a relationship with them by making them feel included in our Runway Rogue community. The focus is to keep a similar voice to our Founder, Patricia Hartmann.

Posting Schedule

Since we currently only sell in the U.S. the time zone we like to cater to is PST since the majority of our customers live in Los Angeles. We currently use Sked Social as our social media management platform. Sked Social provides us with insights to the best times and days to post every week. Wednesday’s and Thursday’s have proven to be the best days for us to post. We currently post one to two times a day depending on the content and if we have launched any new products recently. These Instagram posts will go out at the times provided below, which is when the majority of our followers are online.

Content and Images

The Runway Rogue Instagram feed is a collection of product images, lip images, UGC (user-generated content), model images and of course our very own Founder + 90’s Supermodel Patricia Hartmann.

We make it a point to plan our content a month in advance with a shared content calendar. This content will rotate from a variety of different images, but we make sure an image or video of Patricia Hartmann is posted every six to nine post, to guarantee Patricia is always included in the first look of the feed. Since she is the face of Runway Rogue, we know it is important to include her here.

We post a Giveaway at least once a month. This gives us the opportunity to connect with our audience and increase engagement and follows. We also will include a video in every six to nine posts as well, to make sure we are adding a variety of content every week.

It is important to use high quality images at all times and we want to make sure that they are the right size with the correct pixel count. Please see below for an example of a low quality image that we want to avoid vs. a high quality image that we want to always use.

Hashtags and Location Tag

Hashtags are important for keeping us relevant and noticed. These hashtags will assist in our visibility. We use a variety of hashtags per post and we make sure to include the hashtags in the first comment of every Instagram post. Here are a couple of hashtags we like to include for sure, and the rest can be added depending on the product shown or the person included in the image.

#runwayrogue #patriciahartmann #runwayworthy #runwaybabes #bossbabe #liquidlipstick #lipgloss #makeup #makeuplooks #lipproducts #makeupartist #modelmakeup

When it comes to location, since we are a Los Angeles based company we like to tag our location as Los Angeles. We do also post a lot of content from our time sponsoring New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week. When we post any content from these events we will geotag either Miami Beach, Florida or New York, New York.

User-generated Content (UGC)

We receive user-generated content every single day. Most of it is usable and we love sharing how our Runway Rogue customers wear their new Runway Rogue lippies!

When asking to repost UGC we make sure to message the person “Hi lovely, we love seeing you in Runway Rogue and we would love to share this gorgeous glam shot of you on our Instagram page @runway.rogue. If you agree please let us know by responding: I Agree #RunwayBabe.”

Influencer and Affiliate Marketing

We have just introduced an exciting new Runway Rogue Influencer Program and an Affiliate Program!

The affiliate program offers our top customers and influencers to share a unique affiliate code with their followers. The unique code will give their followers 15% off and also give the affiliate 15% commission of the sales price. This is an exciting program to get affiliate’s excited about sharing Runway Rogue, while making money and having the opportunity to try Runway Rogue products.

The Influencer Program is a paid program and our goal is to find new and enthusiastic influencers to join the Runway Rogue community.

Influencers will not only post their image on their own profiles, but they will also give us the ability to repost content on the main @runway.rogue Instagram page.

Each influencer will get a collection of Runway Rogue liquid lipsticks to promote on their pages. Throughout this program we will work together and offer any support and assistance, while creating relationships with the influencer community. We have an Influencer Agreement that we will send any prospective influencers to invite them to join our program.

Customer Service

Customer service is extremely important to us and it definitely plays a huge role in our Instagram Social Media Strategy. Not only do we have a Runway Rogue Instagram page, we heavily advertise on Instagram as well. We have a 100% comment response rate to any customer that leaves a comment on any Instagram Ad. We also have a 95% comment response rate to our organic posts on Instagram. Founder, Patricia Hartmann also responds to comments on the organic page, so in that case we will either like or comment as well depending on the comment or concern.

We like to maintain our voice and tone in every message sent to our customer. Please see an example below.
